allowance

The kids have been getting allowance for a while now.  They all line up for their soles each week and scurry away to hide their stash.  They've been saving up for something really cool.  Usually, everyone schemes together about what they want to buy and it changes from week to week.    Last week it was a turtle, but since I am aware of the high incidence of salmonella poisoning with turtles and little people, this week, it's changed to a Lego set.  Today, everyone was in the boys' room during hand-out time.  When Josh gave Caleb his soles, he asked him where he puts his money when he gets it.  Dejected, Caleb dropped his head and said,  "I just lose it."
