We got to see the Tolsma's and the Field's one last time to celebrate Jacob's eleventh birthday at Red Robin. With fifteen kids at the table, there was a little confusion as to who the birthday boy actually was. Ian WAS surprised that it was his birthday in January-all the servers were singing to him and smiling. He was ready to dig in to the Sundae when it was taken away from him and given to Jacob. That was a lot for a little guy to take, so after Jacob got his birthday sundae, the waitress brought Ian an un-birthday sundae as a consolation prize. Jacob was a great sport today-we spent most of the day traveling in cars and trains-getting ready for the trip back to Peru. He took it like a champ. He is a joy.
